Passion

Agriaccess is an agribusiness company formed by determined and dedicated young people to improve livelihoods of rural smallholder farmers through input support, marketing and training in order to impact society and create employment for the teaming youth in Ghana. With its objective to be the market leader in its operational theme, Agriaccess has established itself as the leader in the sorghum supply chain in Ghana haven supplied an unprecedented 18,000mt of sorghum to GGBL alone within the last five years.

Achievements
  • We are currently the largest supplier of sorghum to Ghana Guinness Breweries Limited (GGBL), with an annual supply contract of 4,000 metric tonnes.

  • We have also established the country's first ever sorghum supply chain; a value chain that did not exist ten years ago! We are located in Wa, in the Upper West region of Ghana and our record speaks of the impact we have made in the lives of farmers in the community.

Meet the Team

ANTHONY TUOSEGMA POORE

(Managing Director)

Anthony Tuosegma Poore, an Accountant by training. He is a co-founder and the Managing Director of Agriaccess Ghana Limited, a limited liability company established in 2011 which seeks to impact the lives of smallholder farmers by supporting them with input credit to produce and supply agricultural commodities.

The company has witnessed tremendous growth under his leadership having supported over 20,000 farmers within four years of operations with a gross revenue of over GHS 6million annually. Anthony has an enviable and rare reputation of blending his astute business acumens with uncompromising integrity and respect for partners, nucleus farmers and out-growers.

Since his assumption as MD in 2011, he has worked to establish Agriaccess Ghana Limited as the leading supplier of sorghum grains to Guinness Ghana Breweries Limited (GGBL) a subsidiary of Diageo PLC amongst seven contracted suppliers. Driven by his passion for success, Anthony has led his company to achieve unprecedented supply volumes. The company currently supplies over 5,000mt in one supply period against an initial contracted volume of 300mt. As a person that believes in all possibilities, he leaves no stone unturned until his work agenda are well executed within the stipulated time. Anthony serves as a board member of Ghana Grains Council (GGC), he also serves as a member on the steering committee of the 11th EDF ( 150 million Euro, European Development Fund project), he also serves as council member on the Upper west regions Chamber of Commerce and Industry).

Anthony is the Winner of the invest in Africa (IIA) Award of Merit 2018, Young Entrepreneur of the Year 2019 and the Entrepreneurs Foundations (EFG) Outstanding Agribusiness Entrepreneur of the year 2019.

Anthony holds a Higher National Diploma (HND) certificate in accounting from Wa Polytechnic and an Executive Certificate in Banking Operations from the Chartered Institute of Bankers, Ghana (CIB). He has interest in finance and entrepreneurship and is also an ordained minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

DIVINE ACHULO

(Quality Control Manager)

Divine Achulo is the Quality Control manager of Agriaccess Ghana Limited. He has a research-based background and experience which allows him to properly identify and administer research based solutions to situations. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Community Nutrition from the University for Development Studies in Tamale.

Divine Achulo’s presence in Agriaccess has brought about an astronomical increase in appreciation for quality and safety. He has organized individual and group training sessions for both staff and non-staff stakeholders of the company. He has been able to increase the purchase and effective use of protective garments for workers to promote workplace safety. Divine has consistently ensured that quality grains are used in the company, by regularly inspecting grains and rejecting poor and bad grains.

He has worked as a Regulatory Officer with the Food and Drugs Authority of Ghana (Tamale), a leading national regulatory institution with the mandate of ensuring the quality and safety of goods and services that enter the country. He is a good communicator, team player and an upcoming entrepreneur. He is focused, goal oriented and has a strong Christian personality.

PROSPER SAAKA ACHULO

(General Manager)

He holds a BSC in Land Economy from the Kwame Nkrumah University Of Science And Technology. He is currently the General Manager for Agriaccess Ghana Limited, where he handles the General operations and runs the daily activities of the organization. From the time of his appointment as General Manager, Agriaccess can boast of an online presence and a very effective and up to date record system for its farmer network and staffing as a whole. He has also played a key role in bringing new partnerships on board and improving the staff quality to meet the increasing demands of the organization.

Throughout his undergraduate studies, he has served as a student leader in fields of religion, social transformation and business innovation. He has also worked as an intern in the Lands Commission and with his strong drive for technological advancement, contributed to the digitalization of land records in most of the offices in which he served. In 2014 he joined Agriaccess Ghana limited as a Field staff, where he monitored farmers and reported on farm progress, during this time he developed a template for field reporting which is currently being used in the organization, and within two years, he rose to the position of General Manager by virtue of his phenomenal work ethic.

Prosper Achulo led the trip to India in 2017 financed by DFID to search for investors in the area of irrigation and was successful in developing a partnership with Micro Drops Pvt. that lead to the establishment of a drip irrigation systems pilot in Wa which produced great results for the company. Prosper Achulo can be described as a conscientious and self-motivated individual with great enthusiasm and determination to succeed. He is hard working, reliable and resourceful with excellent organizational and staff management skills, combined with the ability to prioritize substantial workloads. He is known for his winning ideas, great work ethic and ability to communicate effectively with workers, farmers and partners. Achulo Prosper is currently pursuing his Masters in Logistics and Supply Chain Management at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology.

IRENE DJAMAH BRUCE

(OFFICE MANAGER)

Irene Djamah Bruce currently is the Office Manager at Agriaccess Ghana Limited. She holds Bachelor of Arts Degree from University of Cape Coast with Post-graduate training in Strategic Management and Leadership from Institute of Management Studies. Irene is responsible for the general management of the office, ensuring that clients, suppliers, partners and staff concerns are addressed appropriately and timely through the appropriate channels.

FELIX KUUMUULO

(WAREHOUSE SUPERVISOR)

Felix Kuumuulo currently is the Warehouse Supervisor at Agriaccess Ghana Limited. He is responsible for all activities that take place at the Warehouse. This includes but not limited to receiving goods that arrive at the warehouse, monitoring of cleaning and repackaging of goods at the warehouse, organizing logistics for the movement of grains from the warehouse to various offtakers.

EMMANUEL YELITARISI

(FIELD OFFICER)

Emmanuel Yelitarisi currently is a Field Officer at Agriaccess Ghana Limited. He holds an HND in Agricultural Engineering from Wa Polythenic. As a field officer at Agriaccess Ghana Limited he is responsible for the registration and training of farmers, monitoring of production, management of Agriaccess farm.

BALANSUAH EDWIN

(ACCOUNTANT)

Edwin Balansuah currently is the Accountant at Agriaccess Ghana Limited. He holds a Bachelors Degree in Commerce from the University of Cape Coast and a Certificate in Banking Operations from the Chartered Institute of Bankers Ghana (CIB). He is responsible for all the financial transactions of the organization. A year of experience at the Ghana Audit Service has enabled him ensure strong internal controls which has led to a robust financial system in the organization. He is currently in Level two of his professional qualification pursuit with the Institute of Chartered Accountants Ghana.

BALANSUAH EDWIN
